Despite being on the horizon for a while, many companies were taken by surprise when China's Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) took effect on 1 November 2021. The PIPL has created a tsunami of actions that need to be taken immediately, and many companies now are struggling with what it means and how to get their day-to-day operations in compliance.

DPEX Network/ Straits Interactive is offering a course on "China’s PIPL - What It May Mean For Your Company" that will do a deep dive into various components of the PIPL. Participants will learn and discuss how companies can apply the PIPL requirements into their existing policies for compliance with data privacy/protection laws elsewhere.
