In an environment of tough business competition with huge bottom-line pressures and a need to create distinctive advantage, organisations are focusing on their core competencies and heavily leveraging third parties (including suppliers, distributors, partners, agents, business associates, joint ventures, subsidiaries, etc.) across countries, not just locally. Today many organisations are using third parties for a range of business activities ranging from Manufacturing to Distribution, Information Technology to Financial Processing, Logistics to Human Resources Management, Sourcing to Research and Development.

Strong reliance on third parties can be risky and it is crucial to the risk exposure, resilience, and reputation of an organisation using a third party. It can be very costly and difficult to deal with a third-party incident, with consequences including regulatory requirements, damage to reputation, and a loss of business revenue. Third parties need to be carefully vetted with ongoing risk assessments to ensure that an organisation is protected and secure.

This program enables organisations to identify and assess the risk posed by third parties where it exceeds the threshold set by the business. This allows organisations to make risk-informed decisions and reduce the risk posed by vendors to an acceptable level. Third party risk management is an important key to the success of an organisation as organizations of all sizes are becoming more and more reliant on third parties for their innovation, growth, and digital transformation.
